IPC Announces Designers Summit

3 December 2006

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries and its Designers Council announce the Designers Summit, February 15-22, 2007, in Los Angeles, California, targeted specifically for printed circuit board (PCB) designers. Held in conjunction with IPC Printed Circuits Expo and APEX, the Designers Summit offers the latest advancements in technology, high speed design and designing for a lead free future.

Taking place over the course of a week, the Summit allows designers to select from a host of design-specific activities and educational sessions to capitalize on what they need most. The comprehensive program ensures designers get the tools and information they need to stay competitive, innovative and in demand.

As part of the overall program, Designers Day, February 19, presents a full-day immersion in design issues, including new approaches to design challenges, insight to evolving lead free concerns and a valuable heads-up on the future of the US design industry.

Designers who aspire to become Certified Interconnect Designers (CID) and Advanced Certified Interconnect Designers (CID +) can participate in workshops and exams, February 15-17.

Attendees of the 2007 Designers Summit are encouraged to meet with suppliers, manufacturers and OEMs who influence design choices at the show’s premier exhibition ¯ the largest trade show of its kind in North America. In addition, the “It’s YOUR Party” event on Wednesday evening will feature the Designers Den, an area where designers can network with peers in a relaxed and informal setting.
