BPM announces new functionality in its BPWin software product. According to BPM, the newest BPWin version 4.66 that was released on February 20, 2007 now features control to satisfy strict automotive industry standards on quality and traceability.
The Jobmaster Revision Control Utility program gives users the ability to lock jobmaster files to the exact BPWin version the first article was originally programmed, BPM said. This feature allows “copy exact” function for automotive industry customers who require requalification of the programming process before new versions of software are implemented.
According to BPM, when fully installed, the utility can significantly reduce job setup since it allows all valid versions of BPWin, version 4.64 and greater, to be installed on one computer. The utility will run the needed BPWin version based on the job file selected.
