IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries announced that it has come to their attention that an IPC member company has been publicly asserting that the member’s proprietary technology was “the foundation of the recently released IPC-7526, Stencil and Misprinted Board Cleaning Handbook.” According to the organization’s released statement, “this assertion is inaccurate and misleading”.
According to IPC, IPC-7526, like all IPC standards and publications, was created through the cooperative efforts of IPC volunteers and other knowledgeable and experienced industry participants. It is simply inaccurate and misleading for anyone to claim that IPC-7526 was founded on one member’s proprietary technology or that that technology was “adopted” by IPC in IPC-7526.
