BPM Microsystems announced that it has shipped the first units of its newest device programmer, Flashstream, after introducing it to the electronics and semiconductor industries in April and accepting the first orders in May.
According to BPM, the Flashstream Flash Vector Programming System offers the fastest flash programming of NAND and NOR flash memory at speeds as low as 2.5 percent over theoretical programming minimum. This speed is due to the creation of a proprietary co-processor technology developed by BPM called Vector Engine, which accelerates flash memory waveforms during the programming cycle. Faster speeds are achieved through synchronous operations that eliminate the dead times when the DUT waits on the programmer. The result is programming near the theoretical limits of the silicon design — the faster the device, the faster the device is programmed.
“We have witnessed programming times five to seven times faster than competing flash programming systems and could not be happier with the results, ” said William White, President and Owner of BPM. “Customers receiving their first units this week will see immediate increase in their amount of flash programming capacity.”
