Universal Instruments to Hold Seminar on Lead-Free Technology in Shanghai

6 September 2007

Universal Instruments announces it is going to hold a free seminar on lead-free technology on September 14 to address various issues arising from lead-free implementation in its Advanced Process Laboratory in Shanghai.

This is the third seminar held by Universal Instruments this year to share the latest technology with interested parties. According to the company, this seminar will enable participants to understand more on lead-free assembly process requirements, all key concerns including screen printing, pick and place and reflow, equipment and materials, and failure analysis and reliability methods used on lead-free products.

On top of a lecture on the lead-free process, there will be a hands-on demonstration utilizing the equipment of Universal Instruments’ laboratory in Shanghai to do the actual lead-free process and failure analysis.

This seminar is specially designed for technical and R&D people who want to learn more on lead-free process implementation, and application/service engineers from PCB, solder paste and components suppliers, who want to know the issues on the materials used in lead-free process. Interested parties please send email to almiranz@uic.com for registration.
