New Integrated Factory Solutions Showcased at Singapore Siplace Application Center

Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems reports that the Siplace Application Center has enjoyed an 80 percent occupancy level since being launched in May 2007. According to Siemens, Global manufacturers are attracted to the interactive showcase of integrated factory solutions. The Siplace Application Center is designed after a real factory production floor, illustrating the entire production process from the planning to quality inspection. Visitors can learn how adopting a holistic approach to manufacturing through software, hardware and services can help them optimize productivity.
The Siemens Automation and Drives, Electronics Assembly Division, Siplace’s Application Center in Singapore also showcases live demonstrations to help manufacturers understand the benefits of integrated factory solutions and provides global customers with technology expert know-how which is also available in other Application Centers like Munich, Shanghai and Atlanta. In the Application Center, manufacturers can learn from industry experts how to implement new technologies like the placement of 01005” components. Additionally, manufacturers are taken through the entire surface mount technology process from printing, placement, reflow to AOI inspection. At the same time, new pioneer technologies are also showcased in the Application Center.
