Reed Exhibitions moves into South India market with the latest addition to its electronics portfolio - Componex/Nepcon Chennai. Following a successful launch of Componex/Nepcon New Delhi, Reed Exhibitions is organizing another edition in Chennai come July 2008. According to the organizers, this move is in response to market demand and customers’ requests.

Mike Allsopp, CEO of Reed Exhibitions India, said: “Southern India is home to many electronics multi-national corporations (MNCs) such as Flextronics, Jabil Circuits, Celestica, Solectron Centum and Foxconn, Ford, BMW, Mitsubishi, HP, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson, Nokia and many more. It is small wonder that our customers are keen to penetrate the southern market. Reed Exhibitions listens to our customers and is here to help our customers.”

“On the other hand, an event like this can provide the manufacturers in India the opportunity to see and learn about the new technologies that can help them improve their manufacturing efficiencies and thus, remain competitive in the market.” added Allsopp, on the importance of Componex/Nepcon Chennai 2008.

Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad form a crucial market for the electronics industry with some 630 manufacturers, both multi-national corporations (MNCs) and small-and-medium-size enterprises (SMEs).
