BTU International Announces Barcode Product Traceability Support in its Control System

BTU International Inc. announced the implementation of barcode product traceability in its WinCon control system. This includes both handheld and fixed scanners for linear barcode. According to BTU, a barcode scanner can be used to verify that the correct recipe is running on the equipment for automated lines. If the recipe is incorrect, an alarm will be raised or if the equipment is empty the correct recipe will be loaded. In addition, the barcode scanner can be used with the SMEMA interface and the GEM host.
