NanoMarkets Announces Upcoming Report on Silver Inks and Pastes for Printable Electronics

25 February 2008

NanoMarkets announces a new upcoming report that continues the firm’s coverage of the market opportunities arising from the use of silver powders and inks in printable electronics. The report will be available in late March of this year.

According to Nanomarkets, 'Silver Inks and Pastes for Printable Electronics: 2008-2015' continues the firm's coverage of silver-based conductors used in printable electronics. It examines the changes that have occurred in the market and discusses how the rapid commercialization of printed electronics is changing the demand for silver. It updates and continues the firm’s 2007 report, 'Silver Powders and Inks for Printable Electronics: 2007-2014'.

The research firm said that the new report answers the questions: “Do nanosilvers still have the exciting future that was forecast for them a year ago?” and “How are silver inks and pastes being used in the first printed electronics fabs?" It also looks at how the choices for conductors have expanded and how new organic and hybrid materials are being seen by some in the industry as the future. It also addresses how this evolution will impact the demand for silver in printed electronics and if silver will actually have a role to play in emerging hybrid products.

Besides examining market forecasts for the use of silvers in printable electronics, the new report examines the technical evolution of silver inks in terms of conductivity, thermal requirements, environmental stability and formulation trends. This new report provides enhanced coverage of the products currently being offered by major firms as well as a revised eight-year forecast of revenues and volume consumption of silver for printed electronics applications.
