Sono-Tek Creates Two Strategic Business Units; Announces New Web Site

Sono-Tek Corporation, a company in the development and application of liquid ultrasonic atomization technology into precision and liquid conserving spraying and coating application systems, announces the creation of two Strategic Business Units (SBU) reporting directly to Dr Joseph Riemer, President, as well as the hiring of additional sales and applications development staff.

The first SBU is the Electronics and Advanced Energy unit, headed by Steve Harshbarger. Building upon expertise in the electronics industry, which has been a mainstay of Sono-Tek business for many years, the company has developed spraying and coating applications customized for the Advanced Energy industries. In particular, Sono-Tek now offers the growing Fuel Cell and Photovoltaic Panel (Solar energy) industries technical solutions through transfer efficiencies and sophisticated controls. The Sono-Tek Electronics and Advanced Energy SBU will exhibit these systems in six global trade shows in 2008.

The second SBU is the Ultrasonic Coating Solutions, headed by Luis Abarca. The company is introducing spraying and coating solutions for a series of major global corporations in the medical, textiles, glass and ceramics, and food manufacturing and biodegradable food packaging industries.

“Sono-Tek’s business plan is to grow through investment in our capabilities to deliver unique and superior solutions for our customers. Accordingly, we have doubled the size of our marketing and sales organization, which will proactively identify, contact and introduce these capabilities to new customers. We have added application development engineers to our team, and modernized our laboratory and pilot plant so that we can readily demonstrate the value of our technology to these customers,” said Dr Riemer.

Meanwhile, Sono-Tek has also announced the release of a new company web site located at www.SprayFluxing.com and www.Sono-Tek.com. According to the company, the new Web site is designed for easy navigation, allowing customers to find products or applications of interest within 1-2 clicks from the home page. Additionally, many new Web pages have been added to the site which focus primarily on new ultrasonic spray fluxing products, solder recovery systems and several new industries of growth into which the company is expanding. Visitors now find Web pages that discuss the company's equipment for fuel cell coating, solar cell coating, semiconductor coating and precision spray fluxing.

CEO of Sono-Tek Corporation, Dr Christopher L Coccio, stated, “This new Web site does an excellent job showing the success Sono-Tek has had expanding with new products that compliment our long standing leadership role in PCB spray fluxing. Our prior Web page was more focused on ultrasonic technology with less application-specific information. Over the past two years, we have developed many application-specific products and our Web site now reflects our expertise in these areas. The new Web site will provide our customers with a better understanding of how our products bring benefit to their specific requirements.”

Sono-Tek is also planning to introduce a new video section of the Web site in April 2008.
