Océ opens technology center in Singapore

1 April 2008

Océ announces that it has opened Océ Technologies Asia (OTA) in Singapore. According to the company, OTA will become the control tower for Océ’s Asian activities including research and development, product introductions, supply chain management and procurement. For the last five years, Océ has cooperated with contract manufacturers in the production of mainly wide format and some cutsheet modules, previously manufactured in The Netherlands. This follows the company’s stated objective of relocating approximately 80 percent of production volume from Venlo to countries in Asia and Central Europe by the end of 2008.
