FCT Assembly Implements Spark OES Technology

26 March 2008

FCT Assembly (FCTA) announces the acquisition of a Spark OES Analyzer (Optical Emission Spectroscopy) to its analytical lab, which is located in Greeley, Colo., USA. According to FCTA, the OES analyzer is one of the most advanced pieces of equipment of its kind available to the market today. FCTA purchased the equipment to serve as the primary analyzer for all EMS and PC-Fab customer solder analysis, especially those that are lead free.

FCTA said Spark OES is a major accepted technique for direct analysis of metals, both electronic grade and industrial. With an accuracy up to four decimal places and a shorter test cycle than Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), the new analyzer will help FCTA provide the quick and accurate results customers expect.
