Digitaltest and Fast Electronic Technology Sign Agreement for China, Taiwan and Hongkong

8 April 2008

Fast Electronic Technology Ltd announced a distribution agreement with Digitaltest GmbH, a provider of electronics testing and production solutions for electronics OEMs and contract manufacturers. The agreement was signed to create a new way of providing commercial and technical support to Digitaltest’s Chinese and Taiwanese customers and serve new clients in the area, the companies said.

Fast will provide sales and service support for the full range of Digitaltest’s test and inspection solutions, including Automatic test solutions (in-circuit-/functional test and DTM (Design-to-Manufacturing) software. “Digitaltest selected Fast Electronic Technology to serve this important sales and support role based on their industry experience and proven ability to provide value added applications in the test and inspection industry in China, Taiwan and Hongkong “, commented Hans Baka, General Manager Digitaltest GmbH.

“Extensive globalization and increased competition have changed rapidly the face of the electronics industry,” said Ute Boctor, President of Digitaltest. “Sustaining high levels of pre-sales and post-sales support in this environment is becoming increasingly difficult. In response to this challenge, Digitaltest has defined a new and unique strategy to address the needs of our Chinese and Taiwanese customers with sales and support from well-known local industry experts like Fast“.
