Ibiden Co Ltd announced that it plans to set up its second PCB manufacturing facility in Malaysia to complement its existing plant in Beijing, China.
In a statement in Kuala Lumpur to The New Straits Times, the Japanese company said the project would be the company’s second in Malaysia, after its plastic substrates for semiconductor packaging project in 2000.
Ibiden said it would invest more than RM1 billion over a period of 10 years for the manufacture and development of multi-layer PCBs.
