Zestron Selects GEN3 Systems Contaminometer for Ionic Testing

6 June 2008

Zestron America announced that it has selected and taken delivery of the Gen3 Systems CM-60 Contaminometer for final testing and verification after PCB defluxing with Zestron high precision cleaning agents. Ionic testing of PCB assemblies, also known as ROSE (Resistivity of Solvent Extracted) or SEC (Solvent Extract Conductivity) test is a measure of the effectiveness of the cleaning process used to remove ionic residues that can be a byproduct of the electronics manufacturing process.

"The CM-60 Contaminometer will provide Zestron the measurements and documents to confirm the effectiveness of its cleaning processes, and services in compliance with IPC/ANSI -J-STD 001D & IPC-TM-650 as well as other applicable Standards” said Harald Wack, Zestron Executive VP and CEO. He added that the GEN3 Systems CM-60 installation will be supported by Ascentech, the North American distributor for GEN3 Systems product lines.
