Elcoteq SE announced that ElcoteqDongguan was honored as one of the Top 100 Information Enterprisesin Dongguan in 2008 at the 10thDongguan International ComputerCommunication & ConsumerElectronic Products Exposition (3CExpo). Edmund Xia, Deputy GeneralManager of Elcoteq Dongguan,accepted the award at the openingceremony of the conference, which washeld at the Dongguan InternationalConference & Exhibition Center inDongguan, China on October 20-22,2008. Elcoteq said it received this honorfor its contribution to accelerating thedevelopment of the manufacturingindustry in Dongguan. ElcoteqDongguan was ranked number 34among the major enterprises in thismanufacturing center of China whichboasts over 20,000 manufacturingenterprises covering over 30 sectorsand making 60,000 types of products.
Elcoteq Dongguan was establishedin 1999 in the Nancheng Districtof Dongguan, China and is one ofElcoteq’s four volume manufacturingplants in the Asia Pacific region.Along with manufacturing services,the company supports originalequipment manufacturers (OEM) with fully integrated solutionscomprised of collaborative design,manufacturing, engineering services,sourcing, demand and supply chainmanagement, and after sales services(product repair and product recycling)for the entire lifecycle of their products.Manufacturing services offeredinclude box build and sub-assemblymanufacturing for communicationsproducts such as mobile phones,(GSM, PHS, CDMA), LCD drivermodules, and base station modules.The plant is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certified and has six sigma,SA8000, and EHS implementation.
