DELO Opens Office in Taiwan

Thanks to further growth in the Asian market, DELO Industrial Adhesives announced that it has extended its activities in Asia and into Taipei, Taiwan with its new office establishment. From now on, DELO Sales Manager Adrian Choo will support Taiwanese customers in an even more intensive way, the company said.

DELO first entered the Asian market in 2004 with its own office in Shanghai. As the company sees great potential in Asia-–already 22 percent of its turnover is gained in Asia today-–a new office in Taiwan is necessary to support the growing customer base. "In Asia the customers expect to be visited once or twice a month and that the progress of a project is to be intensively monitored," says Adrian Choo, DELO Sales Manager in Taiwan, about the Asian business culture. Intensive technical support is one of his tasks as well as the development of further market segments, especially in the RFID, display and electronics sector. In the financial year 2007/2008, DELO had a growth turnover of 47 percent in Asia. Further Asian Representative Offices of DELO are located in Shanghai and Singapore.

In Taiwan, DELO will focus intensively on the key niche application of adhesives for RFID, smart card and electronic applications. "We already have a good reputation in these fields and our customer base includes many large German companies with branches across Asia as well as local Chinese companies,” says Choo. "Our idea is to give our customers excellent technical support and the best customer service. We also plan on organizing trainings and seminars for our customers in this area.”
