LPKF Laser & Electronics Appoints New CEO

The Supervisory Board of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG has appointed Dr Ingo Bretthauer (53) as the new Chief Executive Officer of LPKF AG from 1 February 2009. Alongside the current members of the Board of Managing Directors Bernd Lange (48) and Kai Bentz (37), Bretthauer will push ahead in particular with the global sales of all LPKF products.
According to the company, Bretthauer has very broad experience in the sales and marketing of industrial equipment. With a degree in engineering and a PhD in economics, he previously worked for seven years in various positions at AEG. He moved from there to Deutsche Bahn, where his last position was Chief Marketing Officer at DB Reise & Touristik. He was CEO and sole Managing Director of Joh Heinr Bornemann GmbH in Obernkirchen from 2001 to 2007.
Bretthauer takes charge of most of the areas of responsibility previously managed by the former CEO Bernd Hackmann who left the company at the end of the year.
