OK International Presented at SMTA China East Technical Conference

Last month's SMTA China East Technical Conference featured a presentation by OK International’s Paul Wood comparing the relative benefits and advantages of convection and conduction heating for rework. Run in conjunction with Nepcon Shanghai, the well attended technical conference included a "Green” Assembly Operations session within which Wood’s analysis was presented.

"Reworking SMT Devices with Conduction Tools and Convection Tools” included research data addressing the safety, reliability and economic ramifications of each method. Attendees were provided with CDs of the presentation, which also included embedded video. Future presentations will include the specially applied use of conduction tools for safe, high speed component removal.
