Hitachi GST Completes Acquisition of Substrate Manufacturing Facility in Malaysia

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) has completed the previously-announced acquisition of a substrate manufacturing facility located in Sarawak, Malaysia. The facility, previously owned and operated by Western Digital, produces aluminum substrates used in hard disk drives.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
