DELO Opens New Test Lab in China

DELO Industrial Adhesives announced that it has opened a new test lab in China. According the company, now the staff at DELO’s representative office in Shanghai can attend to customers in the region even better and faster.

"An own lab with diverse equipment allows us to test most of our customers’ components directly on-site”, says Torsten Uske, Chief Representative of DELO in Shanghai. "Therefore, they can do without the complicated transport to Germany."

In the lab, Torsten and his team will conduct feasibility studies for customer applications. Other than conducting tests around bonding in the loudspeaker and mobile phone industry, there will also be tests on how displays can be bonded, for example. Different test equipment-–from temperature and intensity meters through curing lamps and dispensing units to screen printing templates for adhesive application-–is available for the customer, the company said.

DELO has been represented in China since 2004. The company’s head office is located near Munich in Germany. There, complicated test on customers’ components will still be performed in a large research lab. Despite the current economic situation, DELO said it is increasingly focused on research and development: 10 percent of sales revenues are continuously invested in this area to develop innovative industrial adhesives for the markets of tomorrow.
