Celestica acquires Displaytronix

Celestica Inc. announced that it has acquired Displaytronix, a flatpanel display repair services provider. Displaytronix serves the LCD and plasma flat-panel display market by providing repair services for highvalue flat-panel display devices such as notebook computers, flat-panel monitors, high-definition televisions, handhelds and other consumer devices. The company provides in-and-out-ofwarranty support to both OEMs and ODMs, and its expertise includes the repair, recovery and replacement of backlights and inverters; tape automated bonding (TAB); anisotropic-conductive film (ACF); and polarizer replacement. According to Celestica, the acquisition will enable it to expand its service offerings in the rapidly growing flatpanel display market.
