DEK Appoints Franchisee for Laser-Cut Stencil Manufacturing in South East Asia

5 August 2009

DEK has appointed Spectronic Technology Private Limited as a franchisee for laser-cut stencil manufacturing. Covering the territories of Singapore, State of Johor and Melaka in Southern Malaysia, and Batam Island of Indonesia, the new initiative is a key part of DEK’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the evolving challenges of customers in Asia and beyond, the company said.

Having acted as a regional agent for the mass imaging leader’s engineered products for over ten years, Spectronic is well placed to maintain and develop DEK’s technology in the field of precision laser-cut stencils throughout Asia. With this strategic agreement in place, DEK is focusing further resources on micro-engineered electroformed manufacturing in Singapore to ensure its production strategy remains closely aligned with emerging customer priorities into the future.

Commenting on the new partnership, DEK’s General Manager for South Asia, Leslie Chang, explained, “Spectronic Technology has provided us with advanced CAD design capability since 2004, proving an invaluable partner in our efforts to deliver the very highest standards of quality and service in this field. By combining our distinct skills sets, we’re confident the partnership will present an unprecedented value-added service to the industry in Asia and beyond, characterized by industry-leading service and support. And, as we channel further resources into micro-engineered electroformed stencil production, customers in this region can expect a quality stencil solution for their every manufacturing requirement – on a fast turnaround for maximum return on investment.”

As Spectronic assumes responsibility for the DEK laser-cut franchise, the DEK team will work closely with their Spectronic counterparts to ensure a smooth transition where customers can continue to experience the high level of service to which they are accustomed. A comprehensive training program will reinforce Spectronic’s comprehensive understanding of the mass imaging specialist’s pioneering ISO9001 certified manufacturing process. Through close collaboration, the partnership will equip customers around Asia with the high quality laser-cut stencils and specialist knowledge necessary for ongoing print process optimization.
