As widespread counterfeiting of electronic components continues to be a major problem, 1-Source Electronic Components, an electronic component distributor and supplier, has announced that it is proactively fighting the war on counterfeit and defective electronic components with its subsidiary company, ChipChecker Ltd.

According to the company, ChipChecker Ltd was established in 2005 to give electronic component buyers a viable means of fighting component fraud. Since its inception, it has been taking an active lead in that field. Headquartered in Hong Kong and with an established operating office in the Futian District of Shenzhen, China, ChipChecker performs physical site visitations of vendor facilities in addition to product inspection.
