LPKF Strengthens its Presence in China

Especially in China the demand for LPKF systems has strongly increased. Therefore, the German laser specialist LPKF Laser & Electronics AG has now extended the existing branch network with offices in Tianjin, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The new offices are located in Chengdu and Beijing. They are led by experienced staff who have long worked for LPKF Tianjin.

"Especially the location of Chengdu is strategically important because the city is located far west in the heartland. Together with the northern, eastern and southern locations, large areas of China can now be supplied with our products and services”, explains CEO Dr Ingo Bretthauer.

Tasks of the subsidiaries are both the local distribution and service. Therefore, both locations will be equipped with demo systems for presentations. Samples can also be produced there. "Potential customers are increasingly interested in complete customer care which is fast and local. They want us to be nearby", says Bretthauer.

The success story in Asia already began in 1985, when LPKF for the first time entered the Chinese market with rapid prototyping systems. Since then, LPKF records a steady growth in Asia, with China holding an above average share.
