DELO Industrial Adhesives announced it has received the Radtech Award for the development of light-curing epoxies for sealing flexible displays. Dr Dietmar Dengler, Director of Chemistry at DELO, accepted the award on the occasion of the Radtech Conference in Nice, France. The award is presented by the Radtech Europe Association. Innovative technologies that use the principle of light curing are awarded this prize – in the categories print and packaging, coatings and adhesives as well as automotive.
"We very much appreciate that we are awarded for the development of our light-curing epoxies,” says Dr Dietmar Dengler. "Electrophoretic displays are gaining ground at the moment. This is a great potential for us as a supplier of customized adhesives.” The specially developed adhesives are used in electrophoretic displays of novel e-readers.
According to DELO, this is the third time it has received the award. The Radtech Europe Association is a worldwide active organization that wants to support and further promote the use of light curing technologies.
