The Board of Directors of the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) has recognized Tetsuro Nishimura, President of Nihon Superior for his company’s generous support of several iNEMI projects.
In a special presentation, the iNEMI Board cited Nihon Superior’s generosity in providing human resources and testing capabilities, as well as financial support, to several of iNEMI’s lead free projects. In particular, the company actively supported the Pb-Free Wave Soldering, Pb-Free Rework Optimization, Pb-Free Alloy Alternatives, Pb-Free Early Failures, and Solder Paste Deposition projects.
"The level of commitment Mr Nishimura demonstrated to these important industry-led efforts, and the level of support Nihon Superior provided under his direction, played a significant role in the success of each project,” said Bill Bader, CEO of iNEMI. "As R&D budgets continue to shrink, these kinds of joint industry efforts will play an increasingly important role. The work of Nihon Superior in supporting iNEMI collaborative projects is a perfect example of how a company can add value for the benefit of the entire industry.”
In accepting the award Nishimura said, "I appreciate the opportunity that membership in iNEMI and participation in its projects has given my company to engage with the global electronics industry and contribute to its advancement. Acknowledging that there are still more challenges for the industry, I look forward to a continuing association with iNEMI.”
