In 2009, the Nepcon China series of exhibitions provided a trading platform for a less-than-buoyant electronics manufacturing industry. As the world economy improves and electronics manufacturing begins to recover, Nepcon China 2010 will take place from April 20-22, at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.
Reed Exhibitions, the organizers of the Nepcon shows, will launch Nepcon across China in 2010. The events will feature exhibitions, a road show, conferences, seminars and numerous other activities. Keeping pace with the industry’s development, Nepcon will expand into areas in middle and western China. It also will hold Nepcon West China in Chengdu in June.
Reed Exhibitions said it will work with key local electronics industry associations and organizations to host various activities in central China, a region that includes Hubei, Hunan and the Bohai Sea region, as well as in Beijing, Tianjin and Northeast China. Through this strategy, the organizers hope to improve Nepcon and maintain it as a premier business platform.
Nepcon China 2010 will cover approximately 30,000 sqm and more than 500 exhibitors are expected on-site. Besides high profile names, the show has also attracted new participants like Dong You Da, Lu Bang Chemical, KED Optical Electric, Sunsport and Wisdom Electronics.
In addition to the regular exhibition, the event will introduce an LED segment. As the global LED industry has witnessed rapid growth over recent years, so the Chinese LED industry has entered a new development stage. In light of this, China Solid State Lighting Alliance (CSA) and Reed Exhibitions will co-produce the 4th China International New Lighting Source & New Energy Lighting Exhibition and Forum (Green Lighting China 2010) for the first time.
Key figures from Reed Exhibitions and the CSA, including Ruan Jun, Deputy General Secretary of the CSA; Josephine Lee, Vice President of Reed Exhibitions East China, and Tang Guoqing, Senior Deputy Director and Legal Representative of the Shanghai Optic-Electronic Industry Association, gave speeches at a joint press conference held in January 2010. "To capitalize on the opportunities coming the way of the novel light and energy sources lighting industry, we need an authoritative channel within the industry. One specialized enough to promote in-depth interaction and communication about innovative technologies amongst potential customers, partners and government officials,” said Lee.
Green Lighting China 2010 will cover the entire industry chain in the lighting industry and show the newest and most innovative manufacturing technologies and products, including new lighting sources, new sources of display products, lighting materials and components and new energy lighting systems.
