Dymax Corporation has released an enhanced version of its selector guide for industrial assembly adhesives. According to the company, this reference tool provides detailed guidance for selecting the best Dymax adhesive and curing equipment for glass, metal, and plastic bonding applications in the appliance, automotive, aerospace, solar, fuel cell, and alternative energy manufacturing and assembly markets.
Selector tables in the guide list glass, metal, and plastic bonding adhesives, their properties (such as viscosity and durometer hardness), and the unique applications for each product. The tables detail typical substrates and the bonding capabilities of Dymax products. Also described in this guide are the types of light-curable products available and their chemistries, as well as compatible light-curing and dispensing systems. In addition, the guide provides an overview of the Dymax applications engineering department and its ability to provide extensive application development support to help optimize customer manufacturing processes. Included are reference charts and tables, all intended to help R&D engineers and product designers choose a suitable adhesive for their application.
Dymax has also released a newly authored white paper called "LED Curing of Light-Curable Materials – Unraveling the Myths and Realities”. The white paper reviews common misconceptions and realities about LED curing technology and discusses the key technical variables that must be considered to properly evaluate and incorporate LED technology into a manufacturing process.
