SiFO Technology Launches Test Services Program for OEMs Using China-based Contract Manufacturers

SiFO Technology Co Ltd, headquartered in Suzhou, China, has launched its Independence Test Services Program at the IPC APEX Expo. Targeted at US original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that build products at contract manufacturers (CMs) in China and other Asian countries and demand the highest production test quality, the Independence program provides in-circuit and functional test fixtures, programs and services that simultaneously meet the goals of the OEM and its contract manufacturer, the company said.

According to SiFO, its Independence program responds to one of the most pressing concerns for today's OEMs: a lack of resources to travel to China to install, monitor, or upgrade test applications at their CM's site. Also, since the test process is the most important means by which most OEMs monitor manufacturing quality, OEMs often prefer to have a Chinese-based third party to monitor the CM's test process. SiFO added that its test services program greatly simplifies the process to collect test data and ensure timely reports are made to the OEM's test management team.

Robin Tian, CEO of SiFO, explained, "The Independence program is the direct result of SiFO's experience working with well-known OEMs in Silicon Valley, as well as what my team and I learned while working for companies like Agilent and Teradyne to support OEMs and their contract manufacturers in China."
