The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) announced that Mark Kaltenbach is working with the consortium as a consultant, assisting with project management. Based in Portland, Oregon, USA, he will serve initially as liaison with iNEMI’s HFR-free projects.
"Due to the growing number of iNEMI initiatives and projects, we are taking this first step to add program management leadership and flexibility as we move toward the second half of 2010,” said Bill Bader, CEO of iNEMI. "As a former Intel employee, Mark comes to us with an excellent background in managing and leading complex manufacturing operations and supplier management functions. He will be a great asset to the iNEMI team as we look to expand and grow our impact in 2010 and beyond.”
Kaltenbach has worked in electronics manufacturing since 1979 and was with Intel Corporation for 15 years. At Intel he held a number of management positions, including Plant Manager/General Manager (Hillsboro, Oregon), Director of Far East Materials Operations (Tokyo), Director of Assembly Test Materials Operations (Chandler, Arizona) and Director of Materials Operations (Portland, Oregon). He has also worked with Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation and Cray Research. Kaltenbach is currently a principal in MMK Solutions, consulting on operations and supply chain initiatives, and an adjunct professor at Portland State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Northeastern University (Boston) and a master’s degree in engineering and operations research from Cornell University.
