Alpha has launched its new Alpha Technology Exchange which will provide an interactive, online space for electronic assemblers to discuss important industry topics. It consists of three sections designed to allow the sharing of information for the benefit of engineers and executives involved in the challenging business of manufacturing electronic assemblies. They are:
•Alpha Blog: The Blog is linked to the company's Web site. The initial topic is on the subject of "When less is more: Low-Ag lead free solders.
•Interactive Survey: Each Blog topic will have one or more survey questions visitors can answer and then immediately view the responses to the questions. An archive section, where visitors can see the responses to all Blog-related surveys, will be available.
•Related Links: These are industry links to sites that are relevant to blog topics. Other important links will also be included.
"The new Alpha Technology Exchange represents a significant effort to add value to our site visitors' experiences. It will enable them to access an easy to use tool to engage both Alpha's technical expertise and that of other members of the electronics assembly engineering community on some of the most pressing issues that face our industry today," said Bruce Moloznik, Vice President, Global Marketing and Corporate Development. "We intend to continuously review the topics that are most interesting to our customers. Visitors to our site will have the opportunity to read value-added issue assessments, to access valuable related links to those issues and to participate with other members of the electronic assembly community in our interactive survey."
