Flextronics to open new power facility in Ganzhou

Flextronics held a signing ceremony on May 31, 2010, in Shenzhen, China to formally announce plans to develop a power manufacturing and service facility in Ganzhou, Jiangxi. Distinguished members of the People’s Government of Ganzhou, the Ganzhou Economic and Technology Development Zone Administration Committee and the Ganzhou Export and Processing Zone Administration Committee participated in the signing ceremony.

In addition to providing telecom, computing and consumer OEMS with a range of power services from this location that will include standard chargers, magnetics and cables, Flextronics said it will develop the site for reverse logistics and repair activities specific to the power industry. According to the company, the highly synergized, vertically integrated power campus, which will be positioned in proximity to key customer markets, is expected to be completed by April 2011 in a two-phase build-out.
