Package-on-package (PoP) component applications are growing in popularity for mobile and handheld professional electronics applications and with it placing further demands on assembly engineers.
A new website, www.packageonpackage.co.uk, provides information on hands on training, inspection standards, online webinars, and a PoP photo library for process and quality engineers to assist with training staff and producing shop floor documentation. The site also provide design reviews, process set-up, optimisation audits, materials testing and failure analysis services to assist design and process engineering teams embarking on the use of PoP.
The coming months will feature package-on-package assembly process defects, video interviews from engineers already involved with PoP and an online consultancy and advice service on this exciting and challenging technology.
