BTU International Features Next Generation Thermal Processing Equipment at PV Taiwan Exhibition

1 October 2010

BTU International will highlight its next generation thermal processing capabilities at the upcoming PV Taiwan International Photovoltaic Forum and Exhibition. The exhibition is scheduled to take place October 26-28, 2010 at the Taipei World Trade Center.

"Taiwanese PV manufacturers appear to be ramping their production aggressively, while paying careful attention to cell efficiencies and cost per watt. Our equipment is uniquely positioned for this challenge and our infrastructure in the region allows us to respond quickly,” said Jan-Paul van Maaren, PhD, Vice President Marketing at BTU.

BTU will feature its in-line process systems. For silicon photovoltaics applications, BTU will highlight two systems: First is the Tritan drying and firing furnace. This furnace includes TriSpeed technology that enables aggressive temperature spikes without compromising the drying, burnout and cooling process steps. Second is the Meridian in-line diffusion system with over 1 GW in customer commitments.
