Koh Young Named to 2011 ‘200 Best Under A Billion’ List by Forbes

Koh Young Technology has been named to Forbes’ annual ‘200 Best Under A Billion’ list of dynamic, emerging global companies for 2011. It is the first year that Koh Young has been so honored by placement on the list among Asia Pacific companies, which dominate the list.

Forbes Asia’s selection of the ‘Best Under A Billion’ in Asia Pacific begins with a search for companies that show both sales and earnings growth. To qualify they must have annual revenue between $5 million and $1 billion and be publicly traded for at least a year. The universe is then screened for earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over 3 years. The initial field of companies in 2011 exceeded 15,000, from which the final 200 that made the list were ultimately chosen. According to Forbes, these are the companies that have best managed through the economic volatility that began in 2008.

Koh Young Technology, founded barely 10 years ago, is a leading provider of 3D solder paste inspection technology, with more than 50 percent of worldwide market share in 2010. KYT said it has experienced 46.6 percent growth every year (46.6% of CAGR). KYT is expected to achieve or exceed $100 million dollars (100 billion KRW) in sales by the end of 2011.
